Talma intervient dans les projets des associations et fondations impliquées dans les droits de l’homme.

Justice

The Talma association advises, trains and supports governmental and non-governmental institutions that are committed to organising a fairer institutional and legislative structure. In this same context, Talma steps in associations projects and foundations involved in human rights.

Exchanges of judicial practices between Chinese judges and judges from Switzerland, France and the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Project description

The aim is to enable Chinese colleagues to experiment with a new form of justice : by training and using our legal tools to apply them to case studies.   

Talma’s intervention

  • Choice of speakers and trips organization to China.

  • Training development and practical workshops.

  • Organisation of visits by Chinese delegations to Switzerland.

Result

Actions carried out : initially (2006 to 2010) project with the Nanjing School of Magistrates and the courts of Jiangsu province.

The success of the operation was achieved after the first step by signing a collaboration contract with the Department of International Affairs of the Beijing Supreme Court in 2011 and organizing, in a second phase (2011-2017), training in Switzerland for delegations of the Beijing Supreme Court and training in China in Heinan, Zhejiang and Shanghai provinces.

Redline Radio

Extension of the broadcasting coverage of a young and dynamic radio station

Project description

RedLine Radio, founded in 2018 by Alex Wasem, is a young radio station. It is already very successful in terms of the quality of its broadcasts, particularly in the fields of culture (new talents discovery), heritage (discovery of historical monuments) and mobility.

And all this, without advertising… since Redline is only financed by its members.

A new opportunity presents itself to extend the coverage of the Neuchâtel – Yverdon-les-Bains area to the Lausanne-Geneva – Freiburg or even Solothurn area. Redline could increase the number of potential auditors to more than 500,000.

  • Advice on how to raise funds.

  • Loan to finance part of the acquisition of the rights in partnership with other investors.

Madagascar – Mazoto

Support for fair trade for a Malagasy women’s association

Project description

Mazoto (in French, dynamism), is a Malagasy association of women, founded in 1981. It operates forty reception centres for mentally ill, orphaned children and people in difficulty.

The project consists in the development of a fair trade for an international distribution of artisanal products and spices. Craft activity, organized by 50 Malagasy women, also allows hiring of agricultural workers.

Talma’s intervention

  • Emergency financial assistance to meet the more stringent international requirements for upgrading the spice processing plant, drying and packaging work.

Project description

Documentary « Professionnel stress »

It is a cry of hope for stressed people in the work’s world. It takes the form of testimonies and contributions from stress management experts. The responsibilities of both the company and the worker in stress management are highlighted.
